THANK YOU FOR SIGNING UP FOR THE 30 HOUR FAMINE!
Together, we are going to change the world, one person at a time.
Here's the PLAN:
- #1 SIGN UP
- Already done - way to go!
- #2 INVITE SOME FRIENDS
Message a friend or two right now and ask them to do the Famine with you.
This is by far the easiest way to raise funds. Each student needs a minimum of two online sponsors to come to the lock-in. Deadline for this is 5 PM on March 3.
- #4 SET A GOAL AND BEGIN ASKING FOR DONATIONS
Think BIG! $480 will feed a child for a year. $240 will feed a child for six months. $120 will feed a child for three months. Anything is possible with our efforts and God’s help.
Asking people to sponsor you doesn’t have to be awkward. In fact, many people would LOVE the chance to help you change the world. It’s kind of like you’re inviting them into a beautiful adventure with you. Here’s how to do it…
Once you join our online team (#3 above), send some messages to your friends and family, asking them to join you in the fight to end hunger and poverty. The team at the 30 Hour Famine even pre-wrote an email for you – just customize, send it out, and watch the donations roll in! You can also post invitations and challenges on social media.
If you would prefer to ask for donations in person instead of online, be sure to write everything down and keep all the donations safe in one place, and then bring them with you to the lock-in. Checks should be made payable to World Vision.
DON’T GIVE UP! If you asked some people who didn’t get back to you, send them a reminder. Also, who haven’t you asked yet? You’d be surprised how many people would be willing to support you for such a great cause!
