Want to spend a week of your summer making a difference in our community?
Chambersburg Project is a week long mission project held each July. During the week, middle and high school students from local churches renovate and repair homes for residents of Franklin County who are unable to make the repairs themselves due to physical limitations or financial circumstances.
Where: Chambersburg Project is hosted at Roxbury Holiness Camp. Students will stay in dorm style lodging. Students will be dropped off at the camp Sunday afternoon and picked up there Friday evening.
What: During the day students will go out on work crews with contractors and adult leaders to job sites around Franklin County. Projects range from painting, yard work, carpentry, and roofing. During the evenings there will be worship sessions and fun activities- hiking, swimming, camp fires, games.
Who: Any student who is at least 12 years of age and has completed 6th grade through high-school seniors can participate in this missions project.
Cost: $225 per student
What will I eat: All meals are provided during the week. Students will pack bagged lunches each morning to take to the job sites. Breakfast and dinner are provided and eaten at the camp.
Do I need to know how to do home repairs: NO! Each crew has a contractor who leads the crew and will teach the students everything that they need to know.
Do I need to bring any tools: No, all tools and supplies for the week are provided.
