  • Believe and trust in Jesus as Lord, and have a growing personal relationship with Him. 
  • Be at least one year out of high school.
  • Desire to make a difference in the lives of youth and their families.
  • Able to organize and manage details of multiple projects.
  • Be a flexible, self-starter, who can think creatively.

For the intern:

  • Grow closer to God.
  • Work with the Youth Ministry Director to gain ministry experience & strengthen leadership skills.
  • Enjoy and use the abilities God has uniquely given you.
  • Gain knowledge and practical skills from incredible experiences.
  • Have fun and build relationships within the church. 

From the intern:

  • Build relationships with youth and their families – pointing them towards Jesus Christ.
  • Assist in planning and leading Camp Falling Spring- 1 week in July.
  • Assist with VBS- 1 week in June. 
  • Plan and run summer youth group meetings & events, with direction from the Youth Ministry Director.
  • Assist with Sunday morning youth Bible study classes.
  • Fulfill the purpose of Falling Spring Youth, which is to build RELATIONSHIPS with youth and their families, helping them to KNOW Jesus Christ personally, GROW closer to the Lord, and SHOW God’s love to others. 

Monday

9:00-9:30 Prayer and planning

9:30-12:30 Event planning

  • 12:30-1:30 Staff meeting
  • P.M. Planning and/or relational ministry (3 hrs.)

Tuesday

  • 9:00-9:30 Prayer and planning
  • 9:30-12:00 Event planning
  • P.M. Planning and/or relational ministry (4 hrs.)

Wednesday

  • 2:00-2:30 Prayer and planning
  • 2:30-4:00 Event planning
  • 5:30-9:00 Wackies

Thursday is same as Tuesday

Sunday

  • 9:00-12:00 Connecting with youth at worship and teaching youth Bible studies.

Expect these hours to increase the two weeks before (and during) Camp Falling Spring.


Internship runs for 10 weeks June 2- August 9th 

Camp Falling Spring: July 13-18th

  • Prayer and planning meetings:  We will meet daily to pray and talk about what is happening in the youth ministry.  We also attend a staff meeting on Mondays.
  • Relational Ministry:  We will enjoy intentional time with youth, families, and others in the church and community. 
  • Event Planning:  The Youth Ministry summer events, especially Camp Falling Spring, involve a great deal of planning and organizing.  We will organize materials and details; make phone calls; communicate with students, parents, and leaders; purchase supplies; generate creative ideas; and more.
  • Events:  You will be expected to attend and provide leadership for summer youth events.  Your leadership roles will depend on your interests and abilities.

$3,500 for Summer, 2025.
